Vishal’s Paayum Puli to release on Ganesh Chaturthi

Vishal has announced that his upcoming film titled as Paayum Puli would be released on Vinayaka Chaturthi Day which falls on 17th September.

There has been a clamour among leading heroes to get the titles of superstar Rajinikanth’s hit films as the titles of their new films. Following on the footsteps of Ajith, Dhanush and Karthi, Vishal named his 2013 film as Naan Sigappu Mnaithan.

Now, for the second time in his career, he has borrowed the title of another Rajini’s hit film Paayum Puli, which is also the second time he would be working with Suseenthiran.

Suseenthiran directed Vishal for the first time in 2013 in the hit film Pandiya Naadu. Vishal has been paired up opposite Kajal Aggarwal for the first time in Paayum Puli which has music by D. Imman. A new villain, hailing from Bangalore, is all set to make his debut in Tamil films by ‘troubling’ Vishal in the film in which Vishal plays a cop.

Madhan of Vendhar Movies is the film’s producer. Vishal secured a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from AVM Productions, producers of Rajini’s Paayum Puli, to use the title for his new film. “We have used Rajini Sir’s film’s title only after securing formal permission.

The title has a great strength and vigour to it. The film’s script is based in Madurai. Typical of Suseenthiran’s earlier films, this would also revolve around the middle-class.

“We are planning to release the film on Ganesh Chaturthi (17th September) and are working towards our target with a drawn-up plan,” concludes Vishal.
