Back to basics: Arun Vijay’s Vaa Deal to release

Vaa-deal1Having made his debut in Kollywood as a rank teenager, Arun Vijay has been in the industry for two decades now. He opted for voluntary change of image with his recent release, the Ajith-starrer Yennai Arindhaal which released last Thursday in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere.
This was just the first time in his career spanning 20 years that Arun Vijay ever attempted to portray a role with negative shades.
Debutant director Shiva Gnanam is directing Vaa Dealwhich has Arun Vijay and Karthika Nair in lead roles and which is scheduled to release within the next few weeks.
The film, whose shoot commenced way back in September, 2012, got delayed for a variety of reasons and even underwent a change in its title from Deal to Vaa Deal.
S. Thaman is the music director while Gopi Jagadeeswaran is the cinematographer. In fact, Arun Vijay took on the offer to play his much-appreciated role in Yennai Arindhaal as he realized that the shoot of Vaa Deal was getting delayed beyond a reasonable period.
He put in lots of hard-work for his role in the film and developed his physique admirably and the result had overwhelmed him as the audiences liked his performance in the film.
Speaking recently to a regional television channel, Arun Vijay was asked whether he would continue to take on villain’s role alone or would also be playing the hero. Arun responded by saying he would take things in his stride ‘slowly’ and make a decision based on the offers he gets. “It can be either way,” he said.
Jayaprakash, Suja Varunee, Renuka, Satish, Vamsi Krishna and Sneha Nambiar have played prominent roles in Vaa Deal.
